Forbes 30 under 30 features Potential CEO Sam Poirier in its class of 2025
03 December 2024
On the annual list, Forbes identifies young changemakers and visionaries, people who are shaping our world today and tomorrow. And for 2025, our CEO is included.
The Forbes 30 under 30 list for 2025 has been announced - and it features our CEO, Sam Poirier.
Sam has been included for his work with Potential. He is featured under the transportation and mobility category, which identifies pioneers who are “making the world move smoother, faster and more efficiently.”
The award notes that Sam has “led the development of a software system dubbed Terrain Intelligence, which uses computer vision and AI to enable vehicles like ATVs and mining trucks to better handle rough ground.”
Forbes goes on: “CFMOTO USA is working to integrate Potential's advanced driver assistance systems into its recreational off-road vehicles, and Potential says it's working with other major auto companies and makers of mining and defense vehicles.”
The honor puts Sam among alumni such as Melanie Perkins (Canva), Daniel Elk (Spotify), Drew Houston (Dropbox), Patrick Collison (Stripe).
More than 10,000 candidates were carefully examined across tens of sectors. Judges for this category included President Obama’s transport secretary Ray LaHood, Waymo co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana, and Mark Moore, founder of Uber’s urban air mobility division. Among the criteria they considered are inventiveness, potential, social impact and scale.
“It might be my name on the list, but this represents the phenomenal effort across many years by the entire Potential team,” says Sam. “Together, we’re breaking new ground and accomplishing big things. Next year is set to be even more exciting than this year. Thank you to everyone who has shared this journey with me.”
