Potential Motors is an Electric Vehicle (EV) technology startup focused on electric off-road vehicles. Our technology will accelerate the off-road transition to electric vehicles by enabling manufacturers to develop more modular, performant, and resilient EV products. We are preparing for the global launch of a category defining product in 2022 and looking for ambitious people to join our team in creating a new product category and electrifying an industry.
Here’s the problem we are facing:
At Potential Motors we are developing our own off-road EV as a demonstration of our software technology platform. We work in an iterative fashion, constantly evolving the prototype’s systems to improve our designs and validate our technologies.
This role will look to support our Electrical Engineering team to design, implement, and iterate the electrical systems on our existing prototype to allow us to continue to validate and test our software technology solutions in the off-road space.
Here’s where you’ll come in from September 2022 - April 2023:
You will be responsible for design and implementation of electromechanical vehicle systems for the prototype electric vehicle
You will be working directly with multiple teams and aiding them with vehicle design, component manufacture, data acquisition/analysis, and running tests.
The successful applicant will be at the centre of the iterative design process and will be involved in the entire design cycle; you will be responsible for initial designs, hands-on implementation, testing, and debugging
Who we are looking for:
General knowledge and understanding in all areas of Engineering
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
Have worked with robotics in the past
Must have an interest in automotive and sustainability
Capable of wiring, soldering, and building electronics
Experience working with sensors an asset
Knowledge of programming languages will be an asset
